Blue Ridge Butternut is a Waltham-type winter squash that has been adapted to a low-till, organic growing system in Southern Appalachia for over ten years by farmer Matt Wallace of Rabbit Den Farm in Madison County, NC. Over the years, Matt has selected for low-maintenance plants that exhibit disease resistance and little need for irrigation, along with high yield and quality. These squash are incredibly sweet and flavorful, and will keep for nearly a year in ideal storage conditions.
