Description
 Thymus vulgaris

A garden staple, English thyme shines in the kitchen, medicinally, as a pest control measure, and more. This herb grows up to eight inches tall and is bushy in habit.
Direct seed in early spring or transplant into the garden after all danger of frost has passed. Thyme benefits from cold stratification. It will need full sun and well-draining soil. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, thyme will need at least an inch of water per week. Typically grown for leaves. Perennial.
