Description
Lathyrus odoratus
A favorite of hummingbirds, Royal Family sweet peas are a hardy old-time flower variety that is well-loved for their easy-to-grow, sweet smelling, multi-colored blossoms. Sweet peas love cool, moist weather and can be planted very early. 6-foot plants should be trellised or be allowed to cascade over hanging baskets. Don’t eat them though! All parts of the sweet pea plant are poisonous. Do not plant them anywhere near edible peas, to avoid any mix-ups. Typically grown for flowers. Annual.
