Anyone with large maples knows it is very difficult to maintain a lush lawn under them. The maples create dense shade, have a very intricate root system that sucks up every drop of water, and maples are allelopathic – this means they actually produce a chemical that kills off other competing plants. Well, this stuff works! I followed the directions, and doubled up on the seed load (accounting for the allelopathic factor), and 6 weeks later, it looks great!
