Our grower, Jim Kibler of Ballylee Farms in SC, received the seed for this tomato from a farmer from the Sea Islands near Charleston, SC. Any further history of this variety is unknown. German Chocolate is a very interesting, large, cat-faced tomato that has a rich chocolate color. It has a very sweet, mild taste. It also has some drought resistance.

I actually purchased 2 seed sets, the Medicinal & Tea Herbs as well as the winter vegetables. Giant bag of fertilized seeds. Throw them in your cultivated garden without having to put potting soil over the top. Water and watch them grow. Easy peasy. I am very happy with this product.
