Description
Melissa officinalis
Lemon scented leaves are used in many herbal preparations and to make a delicious tea. Plants reach 24″ tall and spread very easily. Easy-to-grow by direct seed or transplant. Full sun to part shade.
Direct seed in early spring or transplant into the garden after all danger of frost has passed. It will need full sun to part shade and well-draining soil. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, lemon balm will need at least an inch of water per week. Typically grown for leaves and flowers. Perennial.

I planted several of these on Monday and by Friday they were already germinated and popped through the soil. Can’t wait to taste them later on when they are full grown.
