Brassica oleracea

Vates, Dwarf Blue Curled Scotch kale is a low-growing dwarf type with finely curled blue-green leaves. It’s suitable for large containers or raised beds. It grows to 12-16 inches tall, and about 24 inches in diameter. Like most kale varieties, it’s especially tender and sweet after a light frost. Vates, Dwarf Blue Curled Scotch kale is slow to bolt to seed great for seed saving. This vareity does great with over wintering and is cold hardy. It has been known to over winter in zones 4-5.

The product was as described, and every seed planted so far has been viable. Beautiful results, at a great price. Product was delivered on time and the Driver was very courteous.

  2. Godfrey Gray?

    Great product

Used this to reseed entire side yard and patch topdressed areas. The seeds are in their 5th week now and at nearly 2 inches and really great root growth and coverage. Several tips. Though some people suggest covering the seed with soil, in the dirt or raking it in, I suggest not doing that.. raking will move seeds to concentrate in certain areas, and too much soil over the seed will lead to non-germination. My favorite way of reseeding is to liberally spread seeds in an area that you have raked to loosen top soil. Then use a 200+ lb water filled lawn roller (I bought the Brinly PRC-24H) and go over the area. If you are reseeding a large area, this is a good investment and can be used later to flatten your lawn profile. The roller does several things. It buries the seed just right into the soil, compacts the soil somewhat, and creates a level surface. If you seed in loose dirt that leaves a big footprint, you’ll have big issues later, and root growth will be weak. Grass needs strong roots. Back to the Scotts seed, they grow really fast as long as you have a consistent 60-80 degree weather. Anything below or above, you will have issues. So best is mid Spring or fall.

I planted some seeds in my Aerogarden and just had my first salad with the lettuce.

  5. Quentin Cox?

I recently incorporated Spectrum Essentials Organic Ground Premium Flaxseed into my daily routine, and it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen. This 24 oz. pack offers not only nutritional benefits but also a convenient way to enhance my morning smoothies and oatmeal.
