Capsicum annuum
ORGANIC. HEIRLOOM. Fish pepper probably came to the United States from the Caribbean in the late 1800s, and quickly became a garden staple among the African American community along the Chesapeake Bay. Historically used to season the glorious seafood dishes of the Baltimore region, today it is recognized by the Slow Foods Ark of Taste for its complex and delicious flavor. Beautiful compact plants, many of which have unusual variegated leaves. Produces multi-color peppers with a full range of color. Hot.

I really enjoyed packing these in my lunchbag for work every day. They kept me honest on my paleo/traditional lifestyle: no chemicals! Just pumpkin seeds and sea salt.
