Description
Stellaria media
Tasty and easy to grow nearly everywhere! This strain is extra tender and flavorful. Has both culinary and medicinal applications.
Direct seed or transplant into the garden in early spring or late summer. Prefers full sun and well-draining soil but will tolerate a range of conditions. Chickweed requires light to germinate so gently press seeds into the soil without covering them. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, chickweed will appreciate at least an inch of water per week. Harvest at any stage of growth. If you leave the center growing point intact, more leaves will be produced. Annual.
