Clitoria ternatea
The delicate flowers of this vining plant are traditionally used in Southeast Asia to make vibrant blue food coloring, or combined with lemongrass to make hot or cold tea. The tea will turn purple if you add lemon juice! Many cultures ascribe medicinal value to the flowers as well. Provide a trellis. Will benefit from scarification and soaking ahead of planting. Typically grown for flowers. Annual.
