Antirrhinum majus
Named after its scented flowers which vaguely resemble a dragon’s face. These 20″ tall stately beauties come in a rainbow of colors and make an excellent choice for garden beds and cut flower bouquets. Deadhead frequently for prolonged flowering. Typically grown for flowers. Annual.

While there’s something to be said for getting only specific seeds that you know you’re going to plant and love, these variety packs are also great because they give you a chance to try veg that you typically wouldn’t have tried and it’s an amazing value. For instance, I probably wouldn’t have thought to try turnips before but they were in a variety pack I got (like this one) and I tried it and they did really well. Home Grown is fairly new to me but I like the brand and the packages. Each seed type is individually packaged in a thick paper envelope and all the seeds are in a reflective wax-paper which should protect the seeds from minor water exposure. I haven’t tried all the seeds, but they look healthy and the ones I have planted have already sprouted at a good rate (pictured). Of course much of the growth is dependent on the soil and environmental conditions but the seeds in this packet should give you a good chance of success.
