Hibiscus sabdariffa

Make tea or jam from the tart flower calyxes and eat the lemony flowered leaves in salads or stir fries. Culinary, medicinal, and ornamental! Needs a long, warm season.

Start seeds indoors three to four weeks before your last frost date. Transplant outside after all danger of frost has passed. When starting seeds, keep soil temperatures between 75 and 85° F. Roselle will need full sun and well-draining soil. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, roselle will need at least an inch of water per week. Typically grown for flower buds. Annual.

SMALL FARM GROWN by Milkweed Meadows, Hendersonville, NC

Ground cumin is an essential spice in curry powder and is found in Indian, Vietnamese and Thai foods. Many Latino recipes call for the use of cumin; and in the United States, many a chili recipe includes cumin. In India, cumin is a traditional ingredient in not only curry, but kormas, masalas, soups and other recipes. Cumin can even be found in some cheeses, like Leyden cheese, as well as some French breads. Curry powder isn’t the only blend in which cumin is found: achiote, chili powder, adobos, sofrito, garam masala and bahaarat all owe their distinct ethnic flavors partially to cumin. Cumin seed can be used whole or ground and even lends itself to some pastries and pickles. A mix of cumin, garlic, salt, and chili powder on grilled corn on the cob is delicious.

    The taste was horrible

  2. Lila Ward?

You will be impressed with the quality and affordability of these seeds. I can’t put into words how happy I will be when using these seeds to grow plants. Healthy lives start with using Healthy plants.

  3. Marnie Howard?

Everything was in the package and undamaged

  4. Tatum Bailey?

This is a great big selection of Zinnia seeds. The package contains seeds along with mulch, plant food and soil conditioners. I have a large area along the river for planting. I can’t wait for the last cold front to go by so I can get the seeds in the ground.

  5. Lila Cox?

I planted the seeds and they did great. Here is a picture.
