Zea mays
HEIRLOOM. A lovely, soft, white flour corn given to us by a customer whose family has been growing it in Haywood County, NC for at least a century. It may be an old selection of either Cocke’s Prolific or Hastings Prolific, though the flour quality is softer than both. The variety is named for the Cataloochee Valley, an isolated spot deep in the Great Smoky Mountains that has served as a rich hunting ground for the Cherokee people, and for a time, the site of thriving European settlement.
¼ lb package contains a minimum of 200 seeds.
