Description
Nepeta cataria
Euphoric effects for felines. 30-50″ tall herb resembling mint in appearance, with grayish-green leaves. Catnip seeds naturally have a low germination rate which is improved with cold stratification.
Direct seed in early spring or transplant into the garden after all danger of frost has passed. Catnip benefits from cold stratification. It will need full sun and well-draining soil. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, catnip will need at least an inch of water per week. Typically grown for leaves and flowers. Perennial.

I bought this giant bag of seeds to give away at a talk I did at a conference. I loved the variety of the seeds and sturdy packaging. I kept a few for our own use and all the seeds have sprouted nicely.

Customer service was great! I had a couple packs that didn’t sprout, and I was outside Amazon return window. I reached out to the company and their friendly rep sent out free replacements right away. I will buy from them again. Packaging is good for keeping leftover seeds for future use. And the rest of the seeds sprouted with no problems.

Grew all of these. Started basil early winter inside. The best basil I have ever had! Also was able to get tons of sage and lavendar starts from these. Saved some seeds but also bought these a second time because they were so great. High success with these starts.

Really helps with constipation. I have it in my “bug out” bag in case of zombie apocalypse and in my kitchen for every use!

I planted them on Monday. I went to check on them and they sprouted between Thursday and Friday. I am gobsmacked. That was ridiculously fast. I am very happy about this!!!
