Anethum graveolens
Dwarf variety only grows 3′ high. Very aromatic and produces lots of flavorful leaves and seeds. Great companion to most plants and foods. Easy-to-grow. Direct seed in spring or late summer. Moderately frost-tolerant.
Direct seed or transplant into the garden in early spring or late summer. Prefers full sun and well-draining soil. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, dill will need at least an inch of water per week. Typically grown for leaves, flowers, and seeds. Annual.
